This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North
Dakota and west central Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Light snow is expected tonight into Saturday across far southeast
North Dakota and parts of west central Minnesota. There is a 35
percent chance of more than 3 inches in areas near the South
Dakota border.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

There are low chances for some minor winter impacts towards the
end of next week.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, east central South
Dakota and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Snow continues this afternoon through Saturday evening, then
tapering off into the very early morning hours of Sunday. Periods of
moderate to heavy snow will result in brief reductions to visibility
of 1-2 miles or less. Slightly breezy winds could result in minimal
blowing and drifting snow.

Areas south of I-90 toward the southern Missouri River Valley and US
Highway 20 are expected to see a light glaze of ice (0.01" to 0.02")
this afternoon into tonight.

The Winter Storm Warning that is currently in effect will continue
through Saturday late evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Winter storm continues through Saturday. Winds become northerly
Saturday and breezy. Winds are expected to blow 15-20 mph with gusts
of 25-30 mph from mid-morning through the late evening. Blowing and
drifting snow are expected. This will result in reductions to
visibility and make travel difficult to impossible in some locations.
Winds decrease overnight.

Storm total snowfall from Friday through Saturday will increase as
you move from central South Dakota east into Minnesota and Iowa. Eastern
South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska can expect 5-9 inches.
western Minnesota and Iowa are expected to see totals 7-12 inches
with locally higher amounts possible along and east of Highway 60.
Some slight adjustments to over all snow totals is still possible.

Much colder air moves in Sunday into early next week with wind
chills below zero at times.

Accumulating snowfall continues through the day Saturday with
high confidence of impactful snowfall. Totals are expected to be
greatest along and south of Interstate 90. Travel may be very
difficult at times, especially for poorly plowed roads. Breezy
winds Saturday evening may lead to blowing snow and greatly
reduced visibility west of the Mississippi.

Light snow will continue on Saturday before tapering off and ending
by late in the afternoon. An inch or two of accumulation with some
locally higher amounts are possible. Much below normal temperatures
are expected early next week with wind chills falling into the teens
to near 20 below zero Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Low pressure moving through the region today and tonight will deliver
a round of snowfall to the area. Some moderate to heavy bands of snow
will be possible through this morning before becoming less intense
this afternoon. More widespread and steady snowfall is expected
tonight. The consistency of this snow will be light and fluffy and
more prone to blowing and drifting, especially in areas where wind
gusts will range between 20 to 35 mph. Localized visibility may be
restricted at times but not significantly widespread. Highest
snowfall amounts will set up from north central South Dakota south
and east toward Gettysburg, Miller and Redfield. Lesser amounts are
expected for south central South Dakota and the northeast corner of
the state into west central Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Snow will continue through the morning and taper off and end during
the afternoon. Gusty winds across south central South Dakota will
lead to some blowing and drifting and temporary reductions to local
visibility. Much below normal temperatures are expected early next
week with wind chills falling into the teens to near 20 below zero
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings.
