...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
  between 6 and 12 inches, locally higher amounts possible. Winds
  gusting between 25 and 30 mph will result in blowing snow at times.

* WHERE...Central Chippewa and Western Chippewa Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities will drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
  conditions will impact this evenings and the Thursday morning
  commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be
prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room
between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to
reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be
especially cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your
car is winterized and in good working order.
