The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Rhea County in east Tennessee...
  Bledsoe County in east Tennessee...
  Northeastern Meigs County in east Tennessee...

* Until 915 PM EDT/815 PM CDT/.

* At 421 PM EDT/321 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due
  to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
  area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Dayton, Pikeville, Decatur, Spring City, Peakland, Stinging Fork
  Falls State Park, Piney Falls State Park, Ten Mile, Mount Crest,
  Evensville, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Old Washington, Grandview
  and Melvine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT FOR CENTRAL
MCDOWELL AND WEST CENTRAL BURKE COUNTIES...

At 506 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms had fallen across the area. This will cause minor
flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain have
fallen since 300 PM EDT.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Toms Creek and its tributaries along Highway 221, and the North Fork
of the Catawba south of Woodlawn.
