This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Slick roads will continue to deteriorate tonight due to a wintry mix
of snow, sleet, and freezing rain or freezing drizzle. A change over
to all snow occurs from north to south late tonight into Saturday.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Travel will become very difficult to impossible in some areas on
Saturday due to some ice accumulation and considerable blowing and
drifting snow. If you have travel plans, consider delaying them.
Strong north winds are expected late Saturday morning into Saturday
night with gusts of 30-40 mph. Blowing and drifting snow will
continue through Saturday night, after the snow has ended. A Winter
Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect from
tonight into Saturday night.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, east central South
Dakota and southeast South Dakota.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Snow continues this afternoon through Saturday evening, then
tapering off into the very early morning hours of Sunday. Periods of
moderate to heavy snow will result in brief reductions to visibility
of 1-2 miles or less. Slightly breezy winds could result in minimal
blowing and drifting snow.
Areas south of I-90 toward the southern Missouri River Valley and US
Highway 20 are expected to see a light glaze of ice (0.01" to 0.02")
this afternoon into tonight.
The Winter Storm Warning that is currently in effect will continue
through Saturday late evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Winter storm continues through Saturday. Winds become northerly
Saturday and breezy. Winds are expected to blow 15-20 mph with gusts
of 25-30 mph from mid-morning through the late evening. Blowing and
drifting snow are expected. This will result in reductions to
visibility and make travel difficult to impossible in some locations.
Winds decrease overnight.
Storm total snowfall from Friday through Saturday will increase as
you move from central South Dakota east into Minnesota and Iowa. Eastern
South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska can expect 5-9 inches.
western Minnesota and Iowa are expected to see totals 7-12 inches
with locally higher amounts possible along and east of Highway 60.
Some slight adjustments to over all snow totals is still possible.
Much colder air moves in Sunday into early next week with wind
chills below zero at times.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for northern and north
central Nebraska tonight through Saturday morning. Areas along and
north of Highway 2 may see snow accumulations up to 4 inches,
locally higher.
Further south, freezing drizzle or light freezing rain is possible
late this evening into the early overnight hours, most notably along
and south of Highway 2. This may create some slippery and hazardous
travel conditions. Precipitation is expected to switch over to snow,
with accumulations up to 2 inches, after Midnight which may cover
some of the icy patches.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Additional light snow is likely Saturday morning, ending by mid-
afternoon. Strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 40 to 45 mph
will lead to areas of blowing and drifting snow. The combination of
slick roads and reduced visibility will again lead to difficult
travel conditions across much of the area before winds diminish
Saturday evening.
Sub-zero wind chills are likely each morning Saturday, Sunday, and
Monday.
Additional light snow is possible Sunday night across southwest
Nebraska. At this time, snowfall amounts are expected to be light.

Some light freezing rain or light freezing drizzle may develop
after midnight and result in some light glazing on surfaces.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
A light mixture of precipitation early Saturday morning will
quickly turn to all snow, but snow accumulations will be less than
one inch.
Strong northwest winds gusting to 45 mph will develop in the late
morning and linger through the evening hours.
Wind chills will drop to the single digits above zero Saturday
night signaling the the coldest air of the season so far.
Another round of light snow will move across north central Kansas on
Monday morning and may bring a inch or two of fluffy snow
accumulations.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
A winter weather advisory is in effect tonight for areas
along and north of a Geneva to Holdrege to Gothenburg line.
A light mixture of precipitation, including freezing drizzle,
will impact the area tonight. Light ice accumulations and glazing
is possible through the evening hours, especially in the advisory
area. Later tonight, more steady precipitation will develop in
the form or some light snow, sleet or freezing rain with some snow
accumulations possible by dawn Saturday along and north of
Interstate 80.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for part of the area,
mainly north of a line from Geneva to Holdrege to Gothenburg until
3 PM Saturday.
Periods of snow, possibly starting as freezing rain near sunrise
along the Kansas border, will linger through midday with snow
amount ranging from a trace to about 3 inches. Locally higher
amounts are possible between York and Columbus, possibly in the
four inch range. Falling snow will end from west to east around
midday Saturday.
Strong winds late Saturday morning through the evening hours will
gust to 45 mph and cause some blowing and drifting snow for areas
that received 2 or more inches of new snow.
Wind chills will be around zero or slightly below zero Saturday
night and early Sunday.
Another round of light snow will move across parts of the area on
Monday morning and may bring a inch or so fluffy snow accumulations.

- Cool and dry Thanksgiving today.
- Majority of Friday will be dry with a storm system arriving
Friday night
- Chances for wintry precipitation have expanded. 4-7 inches of
snow is possible across far NE MO (including the Kirksville
area). A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for this area.
Other areas could see 0.5-3 inches of snow.
- Some uncertainties remain with the potential for a shifting
storm track, and a fine line between light snow and more
notable accumulating snow, and chances for rain undercutting
potential snow totals.
- Road travel impacts are likely late Friday through Saturday
especially along I-35, US-36, and US-65.
