This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa and southwest
Minnesota.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Northwest winds continue to gradually decrease this afternoon and
evening, becoming light.
Overnight temperatures will fall to the teens and 20s (north to
south), with wind chills making it feel like the single digits to
teens.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
There is a chance for some patchy dense fog early Thursday morning
for areas along and north of Highway 14 and into southwestern
Minnesota. Fog should burn off by mid-morning.
Confidence is increasing in a potentially impactful winter storm
moving through the area Friday through Saturday. Accumulating snow is
expected with a High Probability (>70%) of at least 6 inches of snow

Friday afternoon through Saturday evening for counties in
southwestern Minnesota and northwestern Iowa. Adjustments to the area

signal for impactful snowfall now is the time to begin monitoring the
forecast and prepare. Especially if you have travel plans as they
may be delayed or become difficult.
This storm system will be followed by a stretch of even colder air,
with sub-zero nighttime wind chills early next week.
