Accumulating snow is forecast for late this evening and tonight.
Snow accumulations should average around one inch.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Snow may briefly mix with rain or freezing rain as it tapers off
near dawn on Friday morning with little or no accumulations
anticipated.

Snowfall tonight over southern Kentucky will bring up to an inch of
snow in some areas. Use caution will driving, because some roads may
become slick and visibilities will be reduced.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Light precipitation will move into the region late tonight into
early Friday morning. Most places will be warm enough for rain,
but the northern Plateau, northeast Tennessee, southwest Virginia,
and the Tennessee mountains will be cold enough for light snow. A
period of light freezing rain is also possible across southwest
Virginia and extreme northeast Tennessee. Light accumulations and
minor travel impacts are increasingly likely in these areas.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Wintry precipitation will change over to primarily rain as it
tapers off during the afternoon.
