...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM EDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTH CENTRAL DELAWARE AND SULLIVAN COUNTIES...

At 1154 AM EDT, Flooded roads in several locations are starting to
be reported across the area by local law enforcement. Between 2.5
and 3 inches of rain has already fallen and moderate to heavy rain
will continue into this afternoon. Expect streams and creeks to
continue rise and come out of their banks. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Monticello, Liberty, Fallsburg, Bethel, Neversink, South
  Fallsburg, Wurtsboro, Woodridge, Bloomingburg, Jeffersonville,
  Parksville, White Sulphur Springs, Swan Lake, Livingston Manor,
  Harris, Loch Sheldrake, Hurleyville, Mongaup Valley, Hazel and
  Maplewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

  Northeastern Delaware County in central New York...
  Otsego County in central New York...

* Until 315 PM EDT.

* At 1147 AM EDT, Moderate to heavy rainfall has occurred this
  morning with rain gauge reports indicating between 1.5 to 2.5
  inches of rain so far. Moderate to heavy rainfall will continue
  into early this afternoon.  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Gauges reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Oneonta, Walton, Delhi, Cooperstown, Davenport, Roxbury,
  Worcester, Middlefield, Hartwick, Colchester, Maryland, Edmeston,
  Meredith, Pittsfield, Springfield, Andes, Richfield Springs,
  Stamford, Otego and Margaretville.
