THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Southeast winds Wednesday evening becoming west
  Wednesday night into Thursday 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph expected.

* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern New London County. In New
  York, Northeastern Suffolk and Southeastern Suffolk Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 6 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
  lines. Scattered power outages are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph,
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Use
extra caution.

  Lawrence, Milford, Worcester, Brockton, Foster, Smithfield,
  Providence, Coventry, and West Greenwich.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 5 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may

* IMPACTS...The strong wind gusts may take down some tree limbs,
  which could result in localized power outages. Unsecured
  objects, such as trash cans and lawn furniture, may be blown
  around by the strong winds.
