Periods of showers, with perhaps a few storms, are likely this
afternoon and evening and potentially continuing at times into
tonight. Locally heavy rain and isolated flooding will be the main
threat, especially in areas that receive repeated rounds of showers
and storms. A strong to marginally severe storm also cannot be ruled
out, with gusty winds and some hail possible.

We are monitoring the potential for severe thunderstorms Friday and
Friday night. There remains uncertainty in the forecast in regards to
the progression of the cold front, which will dictate the timing of
thunderstorm development. The potential is currently highlighted with a
Marginal to Slight Risk across southeast Michigan for Friday into
Friday night. Thunderstorm clusters capable of hail and locally
damaging winds would be the primary threats.
