Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Rough bar conditions expected. Seas 9 to 13 ft at 13
  seconds and west winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft,
  especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the
  Columbia River Bar.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very strong ebb current of 7.56 kt at 436
  PM Friday. Seas 10 to 11 ft. Ebb current of 3.61 kt at 514 AM
  Saturday. Seas 11 to 12 ft. Very strong ebb current of 7.32 kt
  at 525 PM Saturday. Seas 12 to 13 ft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to
be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River
Bar. Mariners are advised to obtain the latest bar conditions
from the United States Coast Guard before attempting to cross the
bar.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 10 PM PST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, west winds 25 to 35 kt, with gusts
  to 40 kt. For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds 20 to 25 kt
  and seas 12 to 18 ft.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Cape Flattery to Cape Shoalwater
  out to 60 nm.

* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 4 AM PST Saturday. For the
  Small Craft Advisory, from 4 AM to 10 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

TO 10 PM PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Combined seas 4 to 6 ft, building to 8 to 10 feet this
  evening. Bar conditions becoming moderate to rough this
  evening.

* WHERE...Grays Harbor Bar.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft
  especially when navigating in or near harbor entrances.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Maximum ebb currents will occur around 430
  PM Friday, 500 AM Saturday, and 515 PM Saturday. The Friday and
  Saturday afternoon ebbs will be very strong.

A Small Craft Advisory for rough bar means that wave conditions
are expected to be hazardous to small craft in or near harbor
entrances.

* WHEN...From 4 PM Thursday to 4 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds and steep seas could capsize or damage
  smaller vessels.
