...HIGH SURF MONDAY AND TUESDAY...

.Large short-period swells will bring high surf to Southern
California beaches Monday and Tuesday.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MONDAY TO 6 PM PST
TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a High Surf
Advisory...which is in effect from 6 AM Monday to 6 PM PST
Tuesday.

* Waves and Surf...3 to 6 feet with sets to 8 feet in Orange
  County. 6 to 8 feet with sets to 10 feet in San Diego County.
  Highest sets south of Del Mar.

* Timing...Surf builds rapidly early Monday morning, peaks late
  Monday and subsides Tuesday evening.

* Tides...Newport Beach. High tide of 5.5 feet at 06:31 AM PST
  Monday. La Jolla. High tide of 5.4 feet at 06:27 AM PST Monday.

* Impacts...Dangerous swimming conditions and strong rip currents.
  Larger waves breaking close to shore could overtop jetties and
  rocks near the shoreline.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area...producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
