...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of north central
Harnett, northeastern Lee, southwestern Wake and southeastern Chatham
Counties through 530 PM EDT...

At 450 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles west of Fuquay-Varina, or 13 miles northeast of Sanford, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, RDU International, Apex, Holly
Springs, Morrisville, Crosswinds Boating Center and New Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong winds may occur well ahead of any rain or lightning. Do not
wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK SHELTER
IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Moore, northeastern Scotland, southwestern Harnett, eastern
Montgomery, eastern Richmond, northwestern Cumberland, Lee and Hoke
Counties through 515 PM EDT...

At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking scattered strong
thunderstorms across Richmond, Moore and Scotland Counties, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sanford, Southern Pines, Raeford, Carthage, Fort Bragg, Pinehurst,
Aberdeen, Biscoe, Hoffman and Pope AFB.
