CUMBERLAND COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...

At 656 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
over Roseboro, or 11 miles west of Clinton, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Roseboro, Stedman, Salemburg, Autryville, Hobbton, and Bushy Lake
Natural Area.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MECKLENBURG AND
EASTERN YORK COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM EDT...

At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles northwest of Indian Land to 7 miles
east of Rock Hill. Movement was west at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Lesslie, Catawba, Carowinds, Lake
Wylie, Newport, Pineville, and Southwest Charlotte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
