...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 1 PM MDT
SUNDAY...

The following message is transmitted on behalf of the Wyoming
Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division, and the
Wyoming Department of Health.

* WHAT...Air Quality Alert for Wildfire Smoke.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and northern Wyoming.

* WHEN...12 AM MDT Saturday through 1 PM MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Smoke from western US wildfires will limit visibilities
  at times.

HEALTH INFORMATION...The Wyoming Department of Health recommends
that the elderly, young children, and individuals with respiratory
problems avoid excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor
activities during this time. Wildfire smoke is made up of a variety
of pollutants, including particulate matter and ozone, which can
cause respiratory health effects. Although these people are most
susceptible to health impacts, the Department of Health also advises
that everyone should avoid prolonged exposure to poor air quality
conditions.

CURRENT CONDITIONS...The Wyoming Department of Environmental
Quality, Air Quality Division offers near real-time air quality data
for Wyoming`s monitoring stations and health effects information to
help the public interpret current conditions. Current air quality
conditions across the state of Wyoming can be found at

The following message is transmitted on behalf of the Wyoming
Department of Environmental Quality, Air Quality Division and the
Wyoming Department of Health.

WHAT...Air Quality Alert for Wildfire Smoke.

WHERE...Sheridan County, Wyoming.

WHEN...From 12 AM MDT Saturday to 1 PM MDT Sunday.

IMPACTS...Heavy smoke from wildfires in Montana and the western
United States.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT...

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air
quality alert for Beaverhead, Deer Lodge, Granite, Madison, Ravalli,
and Silver Bow counties in effect until 8AM 7/27/2024 elevated
particulate levels from wildfire smoke This alert will be updated
again at 800am 7/27/2024.

An Air Quality Alert means that particulates have been trending
upwards and that an exceedence of the 24 hour National Ambient Air
Quality Standard (NAAQS) has occurred or may occur in the near
future.

As of 7AM, Particulate levels in Hamilton are Very Unhealthy

As of 7AM, Particulate levels in Butte are Unhealthy for Sensitive
Groups

As of 7AM, Particulate levels in Darby are Moderate

When air quality is Very Unhealthy... State and local health
officials recommend that people with respiratory or heart disease,
the elderly, and children should avoid any outdoor activity; everyone
else should avoid prolonged exertion.

When air quality is Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups... State and local
health officials recommend that people with respiratory or heart
disease, the elderly and children should limit prolonged exertion.

When air quality is Moderate... State and local health officials
recommend that unusually sensitive people should consider reducing
prolonged or heavy exertion.
