The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Northwestern Cabarrus County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Southeastern Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Southwestern Rowan County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 815 AM EDT.

* At 608 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated that minor flooding was
  occurring along Coddle Creek. The stream gauge along Coddle Creek
  at State Road 1612 near Davidson was at 14.4 feet and slowly
  rising. At a level of 13.5 feet, water extends 75 feet out of the
  banks of Coddle Creek on both sides at Archer Bridge Road. The
  water is about four feet below the bridge. Coddle Creek should
  crest around daybreak and then fall quickly through mid-morning.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Coddle Creek Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall will cause rapid rises on small creeks and streams,
possibly flooding low water crossings and farmland. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Turn around, don`t drown.

Only when it is safe to do so, please report floodwaters or
landslides flowing over roads or threatening property to the National
Weather Service by calling toll-free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by
posting on our Facebook page, or via Twitter using hashtag NWSGSP.
Your message should describe the event and the specific location
where it occurred, including roadways, nearby cross streets, stream
names, and other landmarks.

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Central Wake County in central North Carolina...

* Until 845 AM EDT

* At 550 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated flooding along Crabtree
  Creek at Old Wake Forest Road. Some lingering water on roadways
  from storms overnight is possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Raleigh, Cary and William B Umstead State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of floods and flash floods. If flash flooding is observed act
quickly. Move up to higher ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay
in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Northwestern Louisa County in central Virginia...

* Until 830 AM EDT.

* At 531 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Rain will taper off through 630 am, however, runoff
  from earlier rainfall will cause minor flooding in the advisory
  area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen over western
  Louisa.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Louisa, Mineral, Ferncliff, Boswells Tavern, Gordonsville, Louisa
  Airport, Waldrop, Green Springs, Byrd Mill, Trevilians, Wares
  Crossroads and Zion Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
