North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the area today, mainly
this afternoon and this evening. The main threats from these storms
will be from frequent cloud to ground lightning, locally heavy
rainfall, and gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

North Carolina, central Virginia, east central Virginia, eastern
Virginia, north central Virginia, south central Virginia and
southeast Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated to scattered mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms are
expected today. Any storm will be capable of producing gusty winds
and heavy downpours. Minor flooding is possible in any slow moving
downpour.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Sunday.

Scattered mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected
Wednesday. More widespread showers and thunderstorms are possible
Thursday through the weekend. Periods of locally heavy rainfall are
possible.
