This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Strong southwesterly wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph are expected through
the day. Isolated higher gusts cannot be ruled out.

Rain showers switch to snow showers this evening and continue
overnight, leading to light snow accumulation.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Snow showers taper off on Thursday morning, with minor additional
accumulations possible.

Light to moderate accumulating snowfall is becoming increasingly
likely Thursday night into Friday morning, especially over the Big
Sandy Basin.

border.

the Piedmont. Residents should secure loose outside items, including
holiday decorations.

counties in western Maryland, eastern West Virginia, and Highland
County Virginia.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect for western portions of Garrett,
Grant, and Pendleton counties from 10 AM this morning through
tonight. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for eastern
Garrett and western Highland counties from 4 PM this afternoon
through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

A Blizzard Warning continues across western portions of Garrett,
Grant, and Pendleton counties until 10 AM Thursday. A Winter
Weather Advisory continues for eastern Garrett and western
Highland counties until 7 AM Thursday.

As multiple clipper system move through, a Slight winter storm
threat exists for each day Thursday through Saturday. If any of
these threats materialize, travel disruptions are possible.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Winds will increase this morning and remain strong in the
Tennessee Valley and southwest Virginia through the afternoon,
with gusts around 40 mph at times. In the East Tennessee
mountains, wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will continue into tonight.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for portions of the area.

Following the cold front`s passage, a northwest flow snowfall
event will bring accumulating snow to parts of the Southern
Appalachians and southwest Virginia later today and into early
Thursday. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

An Arctic cold snap following another cold front later Sunday
into early Monday, may bring overnight lows in the teens to
single digits. Cold wind chills will also be possible, especially
across the highest elevations.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed for snowfall reports
tonight and tomorrow. Please relay any information to the NWS.
