  Appomattox River At Mattoax affecting Amelia...Chesterfield and
  Powhatan Counties

  Appomattox River At Matoaca affecting Chesterfield...City of
  Petersburg and Dinwiddie Counties


For the Appomattox Basin...including Mattoax...Matoaca...Minor
flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Appomattox River At Mattoax
* until this evening...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 05:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 23.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  late this afternoon.
* At 25.0 feet...Agricultural and some secondary roads flooded.
This river level is comparable to a previous crest of 22.3 feet on
Sep 18 2018.
