An Air Quality Alert for Smoke has been issued by the following
agencies:
Northwest Clean Air Agency
An Air Quality alert has been issued for Skagit and Whatcom Counties
effective immediately through 9 AM Saturday, August 15th due to
expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter
(PM2.5) concentrations may reach unhealthy levels in the eastern
portions of Skagit and Whatcom continues.
When air quality is UNHEALTHY, everyone should reduce exposure.
Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follows
tips for cleaner indoor air.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
The Washington State Department of Ecology, Benton Clean Air Agency,
and the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency have issued an Air Quality
Alert until further notice.
An Air Quality Alert has bee issued for Benton, Columbia, Franklin,
Kittitas, Walla Walla, and Yakima Counties until further notice due
to expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. North to northeast
winds will push smoke into the Columbia Basin beginning Wednesday
afternoon. Particulate matter (PM2.5) levels may reach Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups or worse. While occasional clearing and intermittent
good air quality is possible during periods of stronger winds, smoke
production continues to be significant from regional fires. Be sure
to check air monitors in your area before outdoor activities. When
air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time
outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for
cleaner indoor air.

Ferry, Garfield, Grant, Okanogan, and Stevens Counties until further
notice due to current and expected smoke from regional fires.
Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Unhealthy levels for areas
directly downwind from active wildfires. Other areas may reach
Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups or worse. While occasional clearing is
possible during periods of stronger winds, smoke production
continues to be significant from regional fires. Be sure to check air
monitors in your area before outdoor activities.
When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure.

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT FRIDAY...
Southwest Clean Air Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory, which
is in effect until 11 PM PDT Friday.
An Air Quality Advisory for Smoke has been issued. Wildfires burning
in the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air
quality to reach unhealthy levels at times through Friday evening.
Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes, runny nose, aggravate
heart and lung diseases, and aggravate other serious health
problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it
is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung
condition.
