ABOVE 2000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 2000 feet. Total snow
  accumulations of up to 2 to 3 feet possible.

* WHERE...Cascade mountains of Whatcom and Skagit Counties,
  including the Mount Baker Ski Area, the Cascade mountains of
  Snohomish and King Counties, including Stevens and Snoqualmie
  Pass, and the Cascade mountains of Pierce and Lewis Counties,
  including the Crystal Mountain Ski Area and Paradise on Mount
  Rainier.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 3000 feet. Total snow
  accumulations of 10 to 30 inches with 40 inches possible above
  4500 ft. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...In Oregon, Northern Oregon Cascades and Cascades in
  Lane County. In Washington, South Washington Cascades.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring
  down tree branches.

  highest along the Cascades crest and 6 to 12 inches in the
  lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Upper Slopes of the Eastern Washington Cascades Crest.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
  commute.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 4 AM
PST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4
  feet around Stevens Pass and 1 to 3 feet around Washington Pass.
  Snow amounts of 2 to 6 inches in the Methow Valley. Snow amounts
  between 4 and 10 inches along Highway 2. Total snow accumulations
  between 10 and 15 inches for Blewett Pass. Wind gusting as high as
  45 mph in the mountains.

* WHERE...Stevens Pass, Twisp, Stehekin, Methow, Plain, Winthrop,
  Mazama, Leavenworth, Holden Village, Loup Loup Pass, and
  Conconully.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 4 AM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening
  commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a 60 to 80 percent chance of an inch
  an hour snowfall rates at Stevens Pass. Weather models are
  indicating a brief period early Friday afternoon and then a more
  prolonged period after 8 pm Friday and continuing through Saturday
  morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
