...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE LOCAL CARIBBEAN WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Caribbean Waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N...
  Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...
  Mona Passage Southward to 17N...

At 715 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots moving west northwest around
20 knots. During the next couple of hours environmental condtions
will remain favorable for additional thunderstorms development.
Expect periods of heavy rains, frequent lightning and gusty winds as
these storms pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
