This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Kansas and
northeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
A wind advisory has been extended in time and coverage with ongoing
northwest winds sustained between 20 and 25 mph and gusts as high as
50 mph. Winds should decrease this afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

DISCUSSION...
Gusty northwesterly winds up to 35 mph will continue through this
afternoon with the strongest gusts occurring along and east of
Highway 65. Winds diminish later on this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Cold temperatures return Friday night with wind chills in the
teens to single digits forecasted Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.
.KEY MESSAGES...
- Very windy conditions today with gusts around 35-45 mph with some
isolated 50+ mph possible as a front moves through. A wind advisory
is in effect from 9Z-15Z for areas north of a line from Doniphan to
Randolph counties.
- Cooling trend begins Friday. Coldest temperatures of the week
anticipated this weekend with below-freezing highs.
- A few low-end chances (below 30%) for light snow later this
week for NE MO as waves pass to the north/northeast. Best
chances for any snow come this Saturday. Accumulations are
expected to be minimal.

Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
There is a 20% chance of light snow in northeast Nebraska Wednesday
night. Minor travel impacts are possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
There is a chance (20-30%) of light, mixed precipitation
Thursday over northeast Nebraska and west- central Iowa. The exact
location of the precipitation remains uncertain, but minor travel
impacts are possible (20% chance).
Colder temperatures move back in on Friday and stick around through
the weekend with Sunday morning temperatures in the single digits to
below zero. Another round of light snow is possible (20-40% chance)
in northeast Nebraska and west-central Iowa Friday night into
Saturday with a 20-30% chance of minor travel impacts.
