...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued an
Excessive Heat Watch, which is in effect from Sunday morning
through Sunday evening.

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...105 to 108 degrees this afternoon. 112 to
  116 degrees Saturday afternoon.

* TIMING...The worst conditions will be through 5 PM this
  afternoon and from 2 PM until 6 PM Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
  outdoor activities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for the potential of dangerously high temperatures
and humidity and consider staying indoors during this period if
possible.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency - call 9 1 1.
