  Counties.

For the Muskingum River...Minor flooding is occurring.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,

  - At 8:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 30.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
    at 8:45 PM EDT Thursday was 30.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 30.5 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
    morning, and continue falling to 20.3 feet early Sunday
    afternoon. It will rise to 21.1 feet Monday evening. It will then
    fall again and remain below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.4
    feet on 03/14/2015.

* WHERE...South Fork Licking River near I 70 near Buckeye Lake.

* WHEN...Until late Friday night.

* IMPACTS...At 883.0 feet, Both eastbound and westbound lanes of
  Interstate 70 are closed from flooding, with over a foot of water
  likely on both eastbound and westbound lanes. Significant flooding
  of the KOA campground occurs, as well as Buckeye Lake Estates and
  other homes and businesses near the river channel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 881.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 883.5 feet
    tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 880.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 882.9
    feet on 03/21/2020.

  762, with some Island Road residents cut off north of Commercial
  Point Road.  Backwater flooding along Big Darby Creek causes
  flooding along roadways, with backwater flooding along Hargus Creek
  flooding low areas of Ted Lewis Park. Flooding may occur along
  State Route 56 north of U.S. 22 west of Circleville.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.6 feet
    early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Sunday morning.

  are closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess
  runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 649 PM EDT, the automated gauge on Duck Creek at Macksburg was
    just above its minor flood stage of 13 feet and slowly rising.
    Bankfull is 10 feet. Farther downstream on Duck Creek, the
    automated gauge at Whipple was just over 5 feet and starting to
    rise. It may reach bankfull and even minor flood stage tonight.
    Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned
    area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell this morning.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but any additional rainfall this
    evening will be less than half an inch.

* WHERE...Central Morgan County in southeastern Ohio...

* WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of the Muskingum River at and near
  McConnelsville is expected through tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 436 PM EDT, The automated gauge at McConnelsville on the
    Muskingum River was hovering near 8.8 feet. The forecast calls
    for a crest of 9.4 feet this evening. Due to the recent dam
    replacement, the official flood stage is no longer representative
    of known impacts. Flooding of areas away from the gauge can be
    expected at lower stages. At a stage of 7.5 feet, sections of
    Route 669 above Malta begin to flood along with low-lying areas
    near the river, including recreational boat ramps. In addition,
    Cottonwood Drive just below McConnelsville floods. At a stage of
    9 feet, seasonal camps along the river and low sections of Route
    60 just above McConnelsville flood. Additionally, homes along
    Cottonwood Drive may experience flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    McConnelsville, Malta, Stockport and Eagleport.

and the crest will take a couple of days to pass. This first crest

* IMPACTS...At 20.9 feet, During June 2010 State Road 257 south of
  Washington began to flood at this crest level at Petersburg after
  Shoals crested at 18.19 feet.  About a week later Petersburg
  crested at 21.34 feet...about one half foot higher...but the water
  did not reach State Road 257 after Shoals crested at 15.59 feet...
  about 2.5 feet lower.  Lost River did not contribute much water
  during this June flood and locally it was not extremely wet.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday /10:45 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage
    was 17.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
