  and natural flood plain along the river upstream and downstream
  from the gage on U.S. Highway 80. Flooding will increase on some
  dirt river access roads. The water level will be at least one foot
  deep in some sections of the roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 2:45 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 22.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 2:45 AM EDT Sunday was 25.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late this afternoon and continue falling to 9.2 feet Thursday
    evening.

* IMPACTS...At 19 feet, Minor flooding expands further into the
  woodlands and pastures upstream and downstream from the gage on
  U.S. Highway 280. The boat ramp parking lot is flooded out on the
  Wheeler County side of the river. More homes on Dead River Road in
  the south part of Montgomery County become surrounded with water.
  Some flooding inside the structures is possible. Some portions of
  Dead River Road are covered by at least a foot of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:00 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 18.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:00 AM EDT Sunday was 18.9 feet.

  At 13.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs in the
  woodlands along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on
  the U.S. Highway 221 bridge. The water reaches the top of the
  public boat ramp by the bridge. Flood waters expand in low lying
  areas in south Montgomery County around 1.5 miles upstream from
  the gage. The water will begin to cover portions of Three Rivers

FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by upstream dam release along the Salt
  River.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the
  following county, Maricopa.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM MST Friday Apr 07.

* IMPACTS...lowland flooding along the Salt River between Stewart
  Mountain Dam and Granite Reef Dam.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 816 AM MST, Water releases from Roosevelt Dam have
    necessitating increased releases from Stewart Mountain Dam.
    Strong currents, increased water levels, and cold water
    temperatures will persist resulting in dangerous conditions
    for recreation along the Salt River.
  - Tonto National Forest has closed several recreation sites
    along the Salt River due to dangerous conditions.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Blue Point, Pebble Beach, and Salt River Tubing Recreation
    Areas.

    levels, and cold water temperatures.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fort McDowell, Needle Rock Recreation Site, Verde River
    Recreation Site, and Riverside Campground just below Bartlett
    Dam.
