a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

  Medina River At LaCoste affecting Bexar and Medina Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins to impact
  the Medina River RV park anlong CR 4713. Minor lowland flooding
  reaches the slab elevation of the Knights of Columbus building
  just below the bridge over Pearsall Road (Farm to Market 2536).
  County roads, low bridges and crossings near or over the Medina
  River are flooded and dangerous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 2.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.0
    feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    this morning.

  to see flooding from above Kelly USA to below I-35. Flow
  approaches horse barns and homes below Kelly USA.

  - At 1:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 2.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early this
    morning to 16.5 feet this morning. It will then fall below
    flood stage this morning to 3.7 feet late Saturday morning.
    It will rise to 3.8 feet late Saturday morning. It will then

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Moderate flooding will occur along the
  right bank to agricultural fields and the cattle industry.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 39.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 43.5
    feet Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding is expected along
  the left bank.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 5.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Friday morning to a crest of 31.1 feet Friday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.9
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Friday evening.
