Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.

A mix of fog and freezing fog is possible (70% chance) along and
south of the Platte River. This could lead to visibility less than
1/2 mile at times and a few slick spots on roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Snow is expected to cause minor travel impacts due to slick roads on
Saturday into early Sunday. At least a dusting of snow is most
likely (40-80%) northeast of a Columbus to Red Oak line. The highest
potential for 1" or more of snow will be northeast of a Niobrara to
Harlan, IA line (40-70% chance).

Temperatures may fall below 0 for portions of northeast Nebraska and
southwest Iowa Sunday and Monday mornings.

Winds and waves hazardous to small craft decrease Saturday
morning.

Northwest wind gusts to around 20 to 25 kt late Saturday night
into Sunday morning near Grand Portage may result in hazardous
conditions for small craft.

Southwest wind gusts up to 25 kt on Monday for parts of the North
Shore and in the Outer Apostle Islands may result in hazardous
conditions for small craft.

Gusty northerly winds return on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Speeds may prove troublesome for small craft. There is a 10 to
30 percent chance for gale-force winds.

A dry cold front is forecast to move through eastern Oklahoma and

part of next week with more seasonal average temperatures late in

afternoon, with slick travel conditions possible across the high
mountain passes. A brief break in the snow is expected this
evening, before snow becomes more widespread overnight tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Snow and windy conditions will prevail in the mountains Saturday.
Travel is expected to be very difficult through the mountains
Saturday due to heavy snowfall and blowing snow with road
closures possible. Conditions will slowly to improve Saturday
night, but light snow is expected to linger into Sunday with snow
covered and slick roads possible on Sunday, especially during the
morning.

For next week, periods of snow will be possible over the northern
mountains through the middle part of next week. Across the plains,
dry conditions are expected to continue, with a gradual warming
trend.

Snow tapers off in most areas today before the next round arrives to
the northern Colorado mountains late this evening. Significant
amounts are mainly expected across the Park and Gore Ranges with
travel impacts along Highway 40 from Milner to Rabbit Ears Pass today.
A more robust round of snow and wind will then impact the northern
and more of the central mountains of Colorado and adjacent valleys
beginning tonight
