* Snow Squall Warning for...
Northwestern Cameron County in north central Pennsylvania...
Northern Elk County in north central Pennsylvania...
Southern McKean County in north central Pennsylvania...
Potter County in north central Pennsylvania...
West central Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania...
Southeastern Warren County in north central Pennsylvania...

* Until 1045 AM EST.

* At 958 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from near Genesee to near Marienville, moving southeast
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
up to 35 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
Route 6 between wetmore and west of Smethport, near Smethport,
between east of Smethport and west of Wellsboro, and from Wellsboro
to Wellsboro.
Route 219 from Brandy Camp to Lantz Corners.
State Road 66 from Russell City to Kane.
State Road 120 from Ridgway to Emporium.
State Road 255 from St. Marys to Johnsonburg.

Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, Ridgway, Kane, Wellsboro, Johnsonburg, Wharton,
Coudersport, Port Allegany, Emporium, Smethport, Roulette, and
Galeton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
