Winter Weather Advisory

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Juneau AK
1254 AM AKST Mon Nov 24 2025

...ACCUMULATING SNOW FOR HAINES MONDAY...

A weak, decaying low pressure will bring moisture up from the south,
generating snow showers for Haines, Lutak, and Mud Bay beginning
early Monday morning, continuing through Monday afternoon. Highest
uncertainty regarding this system is the depth of the moisture
profile, which will dictate heavier rates. As of 1230am, with
slightly quicker arrival of the precipitation, adjusted timing of
the advisory forward a couple hours. Otherwise, no major changes
to ongoing forecast. Previously toned down the advisory amounts,
but there is still potential for rates exceeding 0.5 inches,
around 40% through Monday morning.
