Effective July 7, 2015, NWS will implement changes to the icons depicted on all of its Point Forecast pages. Highlights will include new icons with increased clarity, 6-hour increments for rapidly changing weather and new color blocks to highlight forecast hazards.

Severe weather possible in portions of the Central and Southern U.S on Monday

The NWS Storm Prediction Center expects severe weather to be on possible on Monday from the southern Great Lakes to portions of the Southwest U.S. The areas of greatest concern have been highlighted by the Storm Prediction Center as a slight risk area. The primary threat with these storms will be large hail and damaging winds.
