...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN HAMILTON AND
NORTHEASTERN HERKIMER COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles southeast of Star Lake to near Big
Moose to 7 miles south of Nicks Lake Campground. Movement was north
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Speculator, Inlet, Blue Mountain Lake, Lake Eaton Campground, Brown
Tract Pond Campground, Limekiln Lake Campground, Big Moose, Eighth
Lake Campground, Eagle Bay, Forked Lake Public Campground, Raquette
Lake, Golden Beach Campground, Alger Island Public Campground, Eagle
Nest, Little Rapids, Beaver River, Quaker Beach, Deerland, Sabattis,
and Partlow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern New York.
