...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN FAYETTE...FLOYD AND
CHICKASAW COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM CDT...

At 503 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Rockwell to near Nashua to
near Oelwein. Movement was north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Charles City, Oelwein, New Hampton, West Union, Nashua,
Fredericksburg, Rockford, Maynard, Hawkeye, Lawler, Rudd, Floyd,
Marble Rock, Ionia, Chickasaw, Westgate, North Washington, Colwell,
Randalia, and Bassett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
