Coastal waters from Baffin Bay to Port Mansfield TX out 20 NM... Waters from Baffin Bay to Port Mansfield TX from 20 to 60 NM... At 1206 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 27 nm southeast of Malaquite Beach to 23 nm northeast of Laguna Madre to 11 nm north of Port Mansfield Cut, moving southeast at 20 knots. At 11 AM...the station at Baffin Bay reported a gust to 32 knots. The lihe has weakened a bit since 1130 AM but could still produce northwest wind gusts between 25 and 30 knots as it moves farther into the Gulf east of Padre Island National Seashore. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes.
