...Strong Thunderstorms Likely This Afternoon...

A cold front slowly pushing across New York state will likely
generate strong thunderstorms during the midday and afternoon.
The storms will contain torrential downpours and likely frequent
cloud to ground lightning...and there is a risk that the storms
could become strong enough to produce localized damaging wind
gusts to 60 mph.

The thunderstorms will push across the Finger Lakes region during
the midday hours...and across the Eastern Lake Ontario region
between 1 PM and 4 PM.

Those with outdoor activities should keep an eye to the sky and
keep abreast of updated forecasts and possible warnings.
