*** 1 Inj *** The Colleton County Emergency Manager
reported two individuals were rescued from a strong rip
current near 102 Palmetto Blvd. An adult male was able
to break free of the rip current and made it back to
shore. An adult female victim was rescued by emergency
personnel after entering the water and was found
unconcious. After being stablized, she was flown to MUSC
for emergency care.
