.DISCUSSION...

Search site and General Ely Forecast -

Starting out clear today with patchy morning frost and low
temperatures in the mid 30s, though temperatures begin to rapidly
warm up shortly after sunrise. Increasing high level clouds
throughout the day. Light southeast winds early veer to southerly
become south and increase to 8 to 14 mph with some gusts to 25 mph
in the afternoon. Chances for scattered showers and possibly a
few thunderstorms will occur later this evening through tonight,
with a brief break Friday morning into mid-afternoon before more
shower chances return late Friday afternoon into Friday night.
Thunderstorm chances are only 10%, however. Total rainfall
accumulations from later this evening through Friday night are
only expected to be around one quarter inch or less.

Ely Visibility and Ceilings -

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through most of the day with
MVFR or even IFR conditions developing tonight with the showers
and isolated thunderstorms.
