.DISCUSSION...

Search site and General Ely Forecast -

Southeasterly winds at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph will
diminish this evening to around 5 to 15 mph and turn
southwesterly overnight. Winds then remain southwesterly for
Saturday at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 25 mph through the
day before becoming light and variable Saturday night.

Light showers will remain possible this evening through midnight
with a 20% chance for a thunderstorm through about 8pm. Overall
lightning activity is expected to be low. Dry conditions are then
expected for Saturday with low chances for showers and an isolated
thunderstorm returning late Saturday afternoon and persisting
through Saturday night. Low chances for showers will then
continue for Sunday. Rainfall amounts through Sunday will be
around a tenth of an inch or less.

Ely Visibility and Ceilings -

VFR conditions will prevail into this evening with brief dips to
MVFR at times as showers pass. Ceilings of 1500-2000 feet will be
possible in these showers, but visibilities look to remain above 6
miles. Ceilings are forecast to lower to MVFR this evening
(1000-1500 feet) and may dip to IFR (around 900 feet) for a time
during the early morning hours. VFR conditions then return by
mid-to late Saturday morning and prevail through the day. MVFR
conditions will then be possible heading into Saturday evening as
chances for showers return.
