...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49 affecting Tama County.

  West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville affecting Emmet County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

For the latest river and stream observations and forecasts refer to
weather.gov/desmoines/water.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 24 hours.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The West Fork Des Moines River at Estherville, or from the
  Iowa-Minnesota border...to near Wallingford.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding occurs
  particularly over the parkland areas near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 10.5 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then fall early Tuesday morning. It will rise to 10.5
    feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...The Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49, or from Timber Creek
  near Le Grand...to Salt Creek near Belle Plaine.

* WHEN...Until late Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water may affect the outside lanes of
  portions of US 30. Water also affects several county roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tomorrow evening and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
