...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Oconee, central
Morgan, Clarke, southeastern Walton, Greene, northwestern Taliaferro,
northwestern Wilkes, Oglethorpe and Madison Counties through 1230 PM
EDT...

At 1153 AM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Pocataligo to Hard Labor Creek State Park, and
moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Madison, Greensboro, Watkinsville, Danielsville, Lexington, Athens,
Union Point, Comer, Winterville, Crawford, Rutledge, North High
Shoals, Colbert, Bostwick, Arnoldsville, Ila, Woodville, White
Plains, Siloam, and Carlton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
