...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR HOOD AND NORTHERN JOHNSON COUNTIES...
At 348 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding across
portions of the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen, and light rain will continue for the next hour or so.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mansfield, Burleson, Cleburne, Crowley, Granbury, Keene, Joshua,
Alvarado, Rendon, Pecan Plantation, Godley, Lipan, Cross Timber,
Squaw Creek Reservoir, Oak Trail Shores, Lake Pat Cleburne, Bluff
Dale, DeCordova, Cresson and Tolar.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
