Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Central High Plains region observed partly cloudy skies
overnight. At 2am MDT (3am CDT) temperatures ranged from 56 degrees
in Flagler, Colorado to 69 degrees in McCook, Nebraska.

OUTLOOK... Near normal temperatures are forecast across the area
today with highs in the 70s to low 80s. The first in multiple days
of shower and storm chances begins tonight with rainfall moving west
to east across the area. Some instances of hail around 1 inch and
torrential rainfall are forecast. For Sunday, warm to hot south of
Interstate 70 with highs approaching the low 90s and a bit cooler to
the north of the Interstate with highs in the low to mid 80s. Severe
storms are anticipated to develop during the afternoon and early
evening with very large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall
the primary hazards. Severe storm potential continues Monday and
Monday night for the area as a cold front moves through dropping
highs into the 70s on Monday and 60s on Tuesday.
