...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM MDT
FOR CENTRAL KIT CARSON COUNTY...

At 636 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bethune, or 7
miles west of Burlington, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Mesonet. At 635 PM MDT, a 62 mph gust was reported 3 miles
         WSW of Bethune.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

This severe storm will be near...
  Burlington around 640 PM MDT.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 412 and 435.
 Highway 385 between mile markers 190 and 205, and near mile marker
211.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
