...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN CHEYENNE AND SOUTHWESTERN KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN
EAST CENTRAL COLORADO...
At 710 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles northwest
of Kit Carson, or 28 miles south of Flagler, moving southeast at 35
mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR LOCALES AROUND AROYA AND WILD HORSE.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotter recorded an 82 mph gust near Wild
Horse.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Wild Horse and Aroya.
