...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM HST THIS MORNING FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 451 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain over
    east Oahu, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
    Additional rainfall is developing to the south and will
    continue to move northward into Oahu, making for a wet early
    morning commute. Stream levels remain elevated across the
    island.
  - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

A Flood Watch is also in effect through Friday evening.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 800 AM HST if flooding
persists.
