The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX out 20
  NM...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 1001 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Drum Bay, or near Christmas Bay. The
  severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Christmas Bay, San Luis Pass, Drum Bay, Bastrop Bay, Surfside
  Jetty, and southwestern West Bay.
