...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN AND
SOUTHWESTERN LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM CDT...

At 1257 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Phil Campbell, or 7 miles north of Haleyville, moving northeast at 10
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Phil Campbell, Newburg, Mt Hope, Spruce Pine, and western Bankhead
National Forest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
