A more pleasant day was seen across the Sunflower State today.
High temperatures warmed nicely into the low 70s in the northwest
corner of the state to the low to mid 80s over south central and
southeast part of the state. Mostly to partly cloudy skies and
light winds was rule.

Overnight lows will range from the low 40s in the Nebraska
Panhandle to the mild lower 70s across southeast Kansas and
eastern Oklahoma. However, storms are expected tonight across
Nebraska to Iowa and extreme northern Kansas. Flood Watches have
been issued over parts of Nebraska and Iowa. The remainder of the
plains will be under partly cloudy skies.

For Tuesday most of the region will remain dry but a few strong
to severe storms may develop across areas of eastern Kansas,
eastern Oklahoma and parts of Missouri during the afternoon and
evening time frame. With the progression of the cold front
through the region, expect high temperatures to range from the mid
50s in western Nebraska to the mid 90s over southern Kansas and
north central Oklahoma.
