...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT ELK...SOUTHERN CHASE...
NORTHEASTERN BUTLER AND GREENWOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM CDT...

At 341 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles east of Florence to 13 miles west of
Eureka to near Grenola. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Eureka, Madison, Howard, Moline, Longton, Hamilton, Severy, Grenola,
Fall River, Elk Falls, Cassoday, Bazaar, Climax, Virgil, Matfield
Green, Eureka City Lake, Eureka Airport, Thrall, Wonsevu, and Fall
River State Park.

This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 88 and 116.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for
south central, southeastern and east central Kansas.
