  Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm...

At 2 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, capable of
producing winds to around 30 knots and cloud to sea lightning. The
thunderstorms were located near Sheepshead Rock northward to the
lower Cape Fear River, moving northeast at 30 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will affect...
  Dredge Wreck, 5 Mile Boxcars, 10 Mile Boxcars, Buoy Off Carolina
  Beach, Carolina Beach, School House Reef, 10 Mile Rocks, W R 2,
  and Topsail Boxcars.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes. If caught on the open water,
prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
