...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL HORRY COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 446 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Surfside Beach, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Myrtle Beach Airport, Socastee, Garden
City, Springmaid Pier, Burgess, Forestbrook, and Grand Strand
Regional Medical Center.

This includes SC Highway 31 between mile markers 8 and 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
