central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Temperatures will climb into the mid 90s this afternoon and evening
with heat index values of around 100 degrees.

A few isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening.
Severe storms are not expected but dangerous lightning and locally
heavy rain is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Heat index values will peak in the mid 90s to around 100 degrees
daily Tuesday through Saturday across most of central Illinois.
