Several grain bins were completely destroyed. A couple of power poles were snapped, along with some damage to trees, home siding and outbuildings. .East Lynn Tornado... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.30 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/05/2024 Start Time: 08:27 AM CDT Start Location: 3 S East Lynn / Vermilion County / IL Start Lat/Lon: 40.4146 / -87.8138 End Date: 06/05/2024 End Time: 08:29 AM CDT End Location: 3 S East Lynn / Vermilion County / IL End Lat/Lon: 40.4255 / -87.7969 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down about 3.5 miles south of East Lynn along E 3800 North Rd, where it completely destroyed 7 grain bins and tossed the debris for about a half mile to the E-NE. A couple power poles were snapped at that location as well. The tornado moved to the E then NE as it damaged trees, home siding and the roof of an outbuilding along N 770 East Rd. The tornado progressed in a more northerly direction as it damaged some trees at a residence about a half mile to the north, before dissipating in the field to the northeast. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$ Shimon/MAlbano
