Satellite imagery shows plenty of high clouds that will continue
to stream in from the west through the night but the chance for
any precipitation ended in the south a few hours ago. No
significant changes were needed to the current forecast. /22

.DISCUSSION...

Tonight through Sunday Night...High pressure will settle over the
region through tonight, in the wake of a weak boundary that`s
sinking south through the region.  Isolated to scattered convection
that`s developed this afternoon will steadily dissipate through the
late afternoon and evening hours as daytime heating wanes.  Under
mostly clear skies, lows tonight will be pleasant as they generally
fall into the 60s.

Quiet conditions will prevail across the forecast area through the
remainder of the work week.  High pressure will remain in control of
the weather across the region.  Drier air will reside across the CWA
during this time.  However, temperatures will steadily become warmer
each day through the weekend.

While we`ll begin the week with lows in the 60s, by the time we
reach Friday night, lows will struggle to fall out of the 70s.  Then
for highs, we`ll begin the period Tuesday with highs peaking in the
80s.  However as Friday and the upcoming weekend rolls around, highs
will top out in the mid and upper 90s. These high temperatures
Friday through Sunday, factored with increasing moisture across the
CWA, could result in some threat for increased heat stress across
portions, if not all, of the forecast area. This potential will
continue to be monitored in upcoming forecasts.

Chances for isolated to scattered showers and storms will also
increase across the forecast area Saturday into Sunday.  This is
again as a result of moisture increasing across the Lower
Mississippi River Valley.  Better rain chances are expected heading
into the start of the new work week, next week, as a slug of
moisture associated with a northward drifting wave lifts into the
gulf coast states from the Gulf of Mexico. /19/
